Well, the Rockies are now down 3-0. We all know just one team has come back from that and that is the Rockies opposition just three years ago. And to make it worse, the Rockies have a starter who hasn’t thrown since in over two months. Still, it starts with just one win and if the Rockies can somehow pull out tonight’s game, it might give them a bit of momentum to make this a series just yet.
Josh Fogg was pummelled and early. He was touched up for six runs in the third inning and that forced the Rockies to go to their pen pretty early. Three relievers held the Red Sox scoreless through 4 1/3 innings to let the Rockies make it a one run game but then Brian Fuentes gave up three runs in eighth to seal the Rockies fate.
Matt Holliday had the big hit for the Rockies in their loss with a three run blast. Kaz Matsui had a team high three hits and he stole a base.
It’ll be Aaron Cook going up against Jon Lester and it’s now win or go home.
